(diciembre, 2006) – Los Tubos de Espuma Contínuos(CFT) especialmente definidos para el sistema de espuma en bolsa SpeedyPacker® Insight™ de Sealed Air permite la producción de pequeños tubos de espuma en una bolsa sellada, que puede ser colocada allí donde la protección se necesita. Las resinas Valox* de super alta fluidez de GE ayudan a satisfacer las necesidades de la industria automotriz de piezas más ligeras, de ahorro de energía y de mayor consolidación de piezas
BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAÍSES BAJOS — 7 de diciembre de 2006 — GE Plastics acaba de anunciar el lanzamiento de las resinas Valox* de super alta fluidez, una familia de materiales de polibutilen tereftalato (PBT) con rellenos minerales o de vidrio. Las resinas Valox de super alta fluidez pretenden ayudar a los fabricantes de automóviles y a otros clientes a obtener piezas más grandes y delgadas con un mayor detalle a menores presiones de inyección sin necesidad de sacrificar el rendimiento. Los materiales de GE ayudan a enfrentar diversos retos claves. Debido al continuo aumento del precio del petróleo, la industria automotriz está buscando nuevas tecnologías para producir componentes más delgados y ligeros que consigan un mejor aprovechamiento del combustible. Al mismo tiempo, los fabricantes de automóviles están combinando cada vez con mayor frecuencia múltiples funciones en un mismo componente. Al hacerlo, ahorran espacio y pueden incluir nuevas prestaciones en los vehículos. Hasta la fecha, los fabricantes han encontrado escasas opciones de resinas de alto desempeño que les permitieran rellenar los moldes de piezas con finas paredes y producir componentes consolidados y detallados.
