TYCO AMP CAMBIA EL POLIMERO DE CRISTAL LIQUIDO (LCP) POR POLIAMIDA 46, STANYL® HIGH FLOW, EN LA PIEZA SOPORTE DE TARJETAS DE PC Y LAS GUIAS CORRESPONDIENTES
El fabricante de equipos electrónicos Tyco Amp Den Bosch ha cambiado de material para fabricar por moldeo la pieza soporte de tarjetas PCMCIA (tarjetas para PC) con sus correspondientes guías. Antes usaba polímero de cristal líquido (LCP) y ahora poliamida (PA46) Stanyl®. Con este material disminuye los costes generales, obtiene mejores propiedades mecánicas y prácticamente anula el alabeo. El grado 46HF 5040 de Stanyl, una formulación de alta fluidez, iguala con facilidad las propiedades de flujo de los LCP, permitiendo un moldeado completo de los pequeños detalles al tiempo que mejora mucho las propiedades mecánicas que el conjunto debe tener.

Rhodia Polyamide announces price rise for its STABAMID® Polyamide 66 resins to address unprecedented level of energy and raw materials costs
Lyon, France, January 4, 2006 – Rhodia Polyamide has announced a price increase for its STABAMID® Polyamide 66, effective immediately. STABAMID® prices will rise in Europe by 100 € / MT and in Asia by 120 USD / MT. This necessary price adjustment results from the unprecedented high level of costs for energy, particularly gas, as well as for raw materials such as Benzene, Cyclohexane and Ammoniac.

Rhodia Polyamide announces price increase for Adipic Acid to counterbalance steep rise in energy (gas) and raw material costs (Benzene, Cyclohexane and Ammoniac)
Lyon, France, January 4, 2006 – Rhodia Polyamide has announced a price rise for Adipic Acid effective immediately. The new price reflects an increase of 130 € / MT in Europe and 150 USD / MT in Asia. Underlying this need for price adjustment is the unprecedented rise in the costs of energy, particularly gas, and raw materials such as Benzene, Cyclohexane and Ammoniac.

CONTENEDOR DE PAÑALES DESECHABLES CON CIERRE HERMÉTICO DE ARNITEL®, UN ELASTOMERO DE DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS
Un contenedor recientemente rediseñado, un innovador cubo que no desprende olor, para pañales desechables fabricado por Garland BV (Amsterdam, Países Bajos), usa Arnitel®, un copoliéster elastómero termoplástico de DSM Engineering Plastics en su cierre hermético. Al introducir el pañal, el movimiento del pistón hace que el contenedor quede bien cerrado de forma que evita la salida de olores y se puede tener en cualquier zona de la vivienda. Borealis appoints new Vice-President Moulding
Borealis has appointed Gilles Rochas to the position of Vice President Moulding with effect from January 1, 2006. He has nearly 20 years experience in the polymer industry, the last 14 years with Borealis, and holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Troyes.
