Spring wins the TNT Master 'Feed the Hungry' Award

DSM further expands US production capacity for Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber
DSM, the largest manufacturer of high performance polyethylene (HPPE) fiber in the world, today announces its decision to make another investment in a new production line for Dyneema® fiber in Greenville, North Carolina (USA). It is the third announcement this year of new Dyneema® fiber production lines at DSM’s Greenville site, following earlier decisions to build two additional fiber lines and one Dyneema® UD (UniDirectional bullet resistant sheet) line.

GE amplía las capacidades de su Centro Tecnológico Mundial de Aplicaciones con equipos especiales para moldeo y termoformado de piezas grandes
BERGEN OP ZOOM, HOLANDA — 13 de diciembre de 2005 — GE - Plastics ha anunciado en una sesión de puertas abiertas un nuevo perfeccionamiento de su Centro Tecnológico Mundial de Aplicaciones de Bergen op Zoom que permitirá el desarrollo de nuevos materiales para fabricar piezas grandes como acristalamientos y paneles de carrocería automovilísticos exteriores. La inversión de GE en una máquina de moldeo por inyección-compresión Krauss-Maffei 2700 MX ayudará a la empresa a cubrir las necesidades de sus clientes de materiales más ligeros y de mayor flexibilidad de diseño para fabricar piezas grandes. La máquina KM2700 es la última incorporación a una serie de capacidades tecnológicas y de servicios -desde el diseño y la transformación hasta el análisis- ofrecidos mediante seis centros de excelencia del Centro Tecnológico Mundial de Aplicaciones. Además de la máquina de moldeo Krauss-Maffei, a principios de 2006 GE proyecta instalar en la planta de Bergen op Zoom una nueva máquina de termoformado con capacidad de placa doble.
