Beaulieu International Group wins its fourth FM Global ‘Highly Protected Risk’ status – now for French parquet factory
Beaulieu International Group (B.I.G.) has 29 plants all over the world. One of these, in Meaulne, France, manufactures parquet and is part of the Beaulieu Flooring Solutions division. On June 20, 2019, this factory was accorded the ‘Highly Protected Risk’ (HPR) status by insurer FM Global. HPR status means the plant meets the most stringent fire prevention and protection demands there can be.

Global specialty chemicals innovator, Perstorp, drives forward project to produce recycled methanol
Perstorp, a global leader in the specialty chemicals market, will investigate the potential production of recycled methanol, using carbon dioxide and residual streams, at its Swedish facility in Stenungsund. The Swedish Energy Agency (SEA) will partly finance this ambitious feasibility study.

Clariant Masterbatches Establishes Regional Packaging Center in Thailand
Clariant Masterbatches is ramping up its support for packaging industry customers in Asia Pacific by creating a Regional Packaging Center (RPC) in it’s Phanthong manufacturing facility in Thailand. The RPC will be introduced during InterPlas Thailand 2019, which is part of Manufacturing Expo being held in Bangkok, June 19 – 22. Clariant is exhibiting on Stand 4B27.
