TE Connectivity stellt hochleistungsfähige M12-Steckverbinder in X-Kodierung für die Datenübertragung in Netzwerken von Schienenfahrzeugen vor
DARMSTADT, Deutschland – 12. Februar 2018 – TE Connectivity (TE), ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Verbindungstechnologie- und Sensorlösungen, hat eine neue Serie von vor Ort konfektionierbarer M12-Steckverbinder für Schienenfahrzeuge auf den Markt gebracht. Diese X-kodierten Steckverbinder ermöglichen Datenübertragungsraten von bis zu 10Gbit/s (gemäß IEC 802.3an Cat 6a). Ihre Gehäuse, die komplett aus Metall sind, bieten eine 360-Grad-Abschirmung gegen EMI-/RFI- Störungen und sind nach Schutzart IP67 staub- und wasserdicht. Zu den Anwendungen gehören etwa Daten- und Sensornetzwerke, Baugruppen für die Steuerung von Zugtüren und HLK-Systeme von Schienenfahrzeugen.

EconCore präsentiert auf der JEC World 2018 Innovationen für kontinuierliche Wabenkern-Sandwich-Technologie
EconCores kontinuierlicher Prozess für die Herstellung von leistungsstarken, leichten, thermoplastischen Wabenkernen für Verbundwerkstoffe hat das Potenzial, der Publikumsmagnet auf der JEC World 2018 vom 6. bis 8. März in Paris zu werden. Sein ThermHex-Prozess erfüllt den wachsenden Bedarf nach einem Ersatz für komplexe, schwere und kostenintensive Teile in anspruchsvollen Anwendungen der unterschiedlichsten Branchen. Auf Stand R73 in Halle 6 wird EconCore die Ergebnisse neuer Entwicklungen und Tests zu Waben präsentieren, die aus modifizierten Polycarbonaten, Polyamid 66 und Polyphenylsulfid hergestellt werden. Die Arbeiten werden am neu eingerichteten F&E-Standort in Leuven, Belgien, durchgeführt.

SABIC announces plans to expand capacity for ULTEM™ and NORYL™ resin production
In response to customer needs, SABIC has announced projects in Asia and the Netherlands designed to increase global capacity for two of its high-performance engineering thermoplastic materials, ULTEM™ and NORYL™ resins. To increase capacity for ULTEM™ resins, a polyetherimide material, SABIC plans to expand its existing footprint in Singapore where it currently has compounding operations, pending final government clearance. The planned new production facility in Singapore is expected to go online in the first half of 2021. The company also plans to recommission operations at its Bergen op Zoom PPE resin plant in the Netherlands by the end of 2019 to produce polyphenylene ether (PPE), the base resin for its line of NORYL™ resins and oligomers.
