GENENCOR CELEBRATES OPENING OF ITS WUXI, CHINA PRODUCTION FACILITY
WUXI, CHINA April 20, 2007-- Genencor announced today that its new production facility, located in the Wuxi New High-Tech Industrial Park, has commenced operations. More than 300 guests attended a grand opening ceremony at the site that included company officials, key customers from China and Europe, Wuxi government representatives and members of the media.

Distrupol adds customized on-site polymer training to its service offering
Polymer distributor Distrupol has added customized on-site polymer training to its service portfolio, putting its motto of ‘Knowledge that Delivers’ further into practice. One of the first companies to make use of this new offering was the Hi-Technology Group, from Waterlooville, Hampshire, UK. As a customer of Distrupol they invited them to provide an “Introduction to Plastic Materials and Processes” to a select group of Hi-Technology customers at the end of March 2007 as part of their training programme.

Steve Lampen tours Europe and Middle East
In the coming month, Steve Lampen, author of The Audio-Video Cable Installer's Pocket Guide (published by McGraw-Hill), and columnist for Radio World Magazine, is set to tour Europe and the Middle East for a series of lectures in 10 countries. During this tour he will visit Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, UK, Spain, France, Poland, the Netherlands and United Arab Emerates.

GE Plastics Expands Manufacturing Capability for EMI Shielding Materials into the Pacific Region
BERGEN OP ZOOM, NIEDERLANDE — 24. April 2007 — GE Plastics gab heute die Erweiterung der Produktionskapazitäten für LNP* Faradex* Compounds bekannt, um die Pazifikregion mit EMV-Abschirmmaterialien zu beliefern. Die Compounds, einschließlich einer umweltverträglichen Sorte mit einem brom- und chlorfreiem Flammschutz, werden am japanischen Standort Moka von GE Plastics hergestellt. Das Material LNP Faradex von GE hilft lokalen und globalen Herstellern bei der Erfüllung von Vorschriften zur elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit (EMV). Erreicht wird dies durch eine effektive Abschirmung, die Bauteilgewichte verringert und Systemkosten senkt. Unterstützt durch ein brom- und chlorfreies Flammschutzpaket, tragen LNP Faradex Compounds ferner dazu bei, dass Hersteller die Verwendung von Gefahrstoffen in der Elektronik zurückdrängen können.
