New PP pilot plant enables SABIC to meet key industry needs
Sittard, The Netherlands, November 16, 2016 - SABIC will have a new pilot plant for development of next-generation polypropylenes on-stream in Sittard-Geleen, the Netherlands, by the end of March next year. The plant, which will use gas-phase polymerization technology, will support the production at nearby full-scale plants of superior materials that meet the needs of the different industries like automotive, pipe, appliances and advanced packaging.

The middle class is expected to represent 4.9 billion members of the world population by 20301. Within just the next four years, global middle class spending is expected to rise by some $20 trillion annually2.
Electronics and online connectivity are already deeply embedded into our daily lives, and that trend will only accelerate, with researchers forecasting that some 21 billion devices will be connected to the Internet by 2020, more than tripling from this year3.
