Guardian Glass ha pubblicato sei nuove Dichiarazioni Ambientali di Prodotto (EPD) per i suoi prodotti di vetro piano, vetro rivestito e vetro stratificato prodotti in Europa. Una delle nuove EPD riguarda il vetro float Guardian ExtraClear™, che è il vetro float standard (a contenuto medio di ferro) con il più basso valore di carbonio contenuto prodotto in Europa.

Guardian Glass introduces Guardian Nexa™, a lower-carbon float glass, to Europe
Following successful pilot production runs, Guardian Glass is introducing a lower-carbon float glass to the European market. The new lower-carbon float glass, Guardian Nexa™, can also be used as a base glass or laminated glass for Guardian high performance products, including the Guardian SunGuard™ and the Guardian ClimaGuard™ ranges of coated glass products.

Guardian Glass has introduced a new feature to its Performance Calculator tool. The feature allows users to calculate the embodied carbon for the glazing configurations they select. This means architects, specifiers and glass processors can better understand the environmental impact profile of the facades they design through the glass products they specify, allowing them to make more informed choices at a very early design stage.
