Dow Corning has introduced three new value propositions, or service/products packages, that are tailored to customers’ needs and product lifecycles. The three solutions are those that can help you:
Innovate – For customers committed to offering state-of-the-art products and new applications. They typically have products in the early growth stage of their lifecycles. Dow Corning provides innovative solutions based on cutting edge technologies and expertise in the commercialisation process.
Grow Reliably – For customers who seek off-the-shelf offerings that have proven performance and demonstrated use. They want applications that offer lower optimal growth and convenience. Dow Corning offers proven performance in technology, manufacturing and supply chain on both locally and globally.
Drive Costs Down – For customers with mature products and who want to achieve maximum profit by pursuing efficiency and effectiveness in manufacturing. For them, Dow Corning provides cost-effective solutions and services that drive their overall costs down.
A fourth choice is Dow Corning’s new brand called XIAMETER, which offers transparent, dynamic and “real time” lowest base pricing for silicon-based materials. XIAMETER is a new business model that’s designed for experienced purchasers of silicon-based products who buy in high-volume shipping units.
Customer-Focused Programs
Customer Relationship Management and a “Line of Sight” training, during which all employees participated in a process to consider how they add value for customers. Web site is being redesigned to give customers choices based on their individual needs and product lifecycles.
Dow Corning Premier is the latest initiative in a series of e-business enhancements the company has introduced. This complimentary service provides customers 24-hour, 7 a day week online access to order and support information.
