Songwon announces global price increases for its range of Plastic Additives
Ulsan, Korea – April 27, 2012 – Songwon Industrial Group, a leading developer and manufacturer of polymer additives, will increase global prices of its Songnox® Antioxidants, Songlight® and Songsorb® UV Stabilizers, Songstab™ Acid Scavengers as well as of its range of aminic antioxidants by 8% effective on orders invoiced on or after June 1, 2012, or as contracts allow. This price increase is necessary to recover raw material cost increases and support continued investment in reliable supply.

Songwon appoints KY Lee as Managing Director for Korea and Sales Director for North East Asia

Ulsan, Korea – February 16, 2012 – At the international VDI Conference “Plastics In Automotive Engineering” in Mannheim, Germany (March 21 – 22), Songwon Industrial Co. Ltd., the global number two supplier of polymer additives, will demonstrate it is moving onto the next level to focus more intensively on specific industry segments to meet tough application needs. Songwon’s High Heat OPS (One Pack Systems) range offers customers a complete toolbox for designing tailor-made solutions to meet the requirements of longer service life and/or durability under harsh conditions. OPS products combine several additives into an integrated dust free, pellet form. Songwon acquires Additives Technology Greiz and takes a leadership position in the delivery of One Pack Systems
Ulsan, Korea – December 13, 2011 – Today, at the Annual GPCA forum 2011 in Dubai (UAE), Songwon Industrial Group has announced it has acquired Additives Technology Greiz (ATG), one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of One Pack Systems (OPS) products for the polymer industry. ATG’s manufacturing plant is located in Greiz (Germany) and has produced dust free polymer additive packages since 2006. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Songwon completes one of the world’s largest dedicated polymer antioxidant plants and introduces two enhanced physical forms of Songnox 1076
Ulsan, Korea – September 13, 2011 – Songwon Industrial Group announces that the expansion of its antioxidant capacity from 55.000 to 70.000 tons has been completed ahead of time. This is the result of the consolidation of Songnox® 1076 production into Songwon’s new fully backward integrated Maeam plant. In addition Songwon has announced as a consequence of this expansion the introduction of two enhanced physical forms of Songnox® 1076: Songnox® 1076 SB (semi beads) and Songnox® 1076 CP (crystalline powder).
