MITSUBISHI ENGINEERING-PLASTICS PLEDGES AN ONGOING COMMITMENT TO EUROPE

At K 2010, Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics (MEP) will present its complete portfolio of engineering materials, which now includes recently acquired Xantar® Polycarbonate and Blends. At the same time, the company will underline its commitment to both existing and new customers in Europe.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has now successfully transferred DSM’s Xantar polycarbonate business in exchange for MCC’s Novamid Polyamide business. DSM and Mitsubishi have agreed to provide several services to each other as the new owners of the businesses, including R&D support, in order to secure an efficient transfer and continuation of the services to the respective customer bases. A number of key employees of DSM’s polycarbonate business have now transferred to MEP and at the same time MEP will establish a Technical Service Center at the Chemelot Research and Technology campus in Geleen, the Netherlands.

Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics will present its full range of products at K 2010 – where the emphasis will be on bringing value to customers, through quality and innovation.
