Three Rhodia Engineering Plastics sites ISO/TS 16949 certified
In a single audit operation by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), three Rhodia Engineering Plastics’ sites, in Saint-Fons, France, Ceriano Laghetto, Italy, and Gorzow, Poland, received the ISO/TS 16949 certification for the development, production and sales of TECHNYL® and TECHNYL-STAR™ polyamides. This certification has confirmed Rhodia Engineering Plastics’ commitment to the automotive industry, providing Rhodia’s automotive customers with the quality assurance specific to their demands.

GEORGETOWN, Ontario, Canada (AUGUST, 2001) – At the Kunstoffe International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber (the “K” Show), 25 October - 1 November 1, 2001 in Düsseldorf, Germany, Mold-Masters Limited is announcing a new manufacturing expansion within Germany; new capabilities for its on-line Merlin® Hot-Runner Wizard; and two new products: a high capability multi-zone heat controller and an ultra-small, 1-piece cartridge heater nozzle. Procesbeheersing met Dynamic FeedTM van Synventive Molding Solutions
´s-Gravendeel, September 2001. – Synventive Molding Solutions introduceert Dynamic FeedTM, een uniek, gepatenteerd procesregelsysteem. Dynamic FeedTM zorgt voor onafhankelijke ‘real time’ procesbeheersing van elke gate (opening). Het regelniveau is te vergelijken met een situatie waarin elke gate is voorzien van een afzonderlijke aanspuiteenheid. Voor elke gate kan een verschillende aanspuitdruk, aanspuittijd, nadruk en nadruktijd worden ingesteld. De aanspuit- en nadrukprofielen worden onafhankelijk van elkaar geregeld. Elke aanspuitbus van de hot runner is voorzien van een naald om het vulgedrag te regelen. Deze wordt bediend met behulp van een regelbare afsluiter, vergelijkbaar met het standaard naaldafsluitsysteem. De variabele stand van de naald om het vulgedrag te regelen beïnvloedt de stroomsnelheid naar de caviteiten. Vlak voordat de smelt in de caviteiten komt, wordt in elke aanspuitbus die zich achter deze naald bevindt, de druk gemeten. Er wordt een PID-regelaar gebruikt om de positie van de naald te regelen, op basis van het aanspuit- en nadrukprofiel dat voor elk van de caviteiten is vastgesteld.
