CB&I and Clariant’s Polypropylene Catalyst Partnership off to a Successful Start
Muttenz, July 22, 2014 - CB&I (NYSE:CBI) and Clariant announced today its new Ziegler-Natta (ZN) polypropylene catalyst production plant in Louisville, Kentucky, is on schedule to begin production in 2015. The plant is part of a long-term strategic partnership between Clariant’s Catalysts business unit and CB&I's Lummus Novolen Technology business. Based at Clariant's largest US production hub, the state-of-the-art facility will combine innovative catalysts - jointly developed by both companies with high-capacity output to serve the fast growing polypropylene industry.

DSM to invest in a new plant for high viscosity Akulon® polyamide 6 grades for film and other extrusion applications in North America
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, today announces that the company is to invest in a new polymerization plant in North America to manufacture Akulon® polyamide 6 polymer for film grades used in flexible food packaging and other segments. Financial details of the investment will not be disclosed.

Azelis Coatings extends agreement with Allnex in Germany and Austria
Effective August 1st, 2014, Azelis announces that it will extend its co-operation with Allnex, a leading manufacturer of performance materials for all coating applications. For the first time, Azelis will offer the complete range of Allnex liquid resins, additives and cross linkers across Germany and Austria for selected customers.
