Polyscope founder and board member receives major SPE accolade

The award will be formally handed over by SPE representatives on Monday 21 October at 14.00 hrs on the Polyscope booth in Hall 5/stand E08 at K 2013.

Clariant Divests Detergents & Intermediates Business to International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG)
Muttenz, October 15, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has signed an agreement to divest its Detergents & Intermediates business to International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG). The total consideration of the sale amounts to CHF 58 million, out of which 20 million will be in cash at closing. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

DSM partners with Petropol Polimeros to meet growing demand for Akulon polyamide 6 in South America
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences Company, has signed an agreement with Petropol Polimeros, a leading engineering plastics compound producer in South America with more than 20 years' experience in engineering plastics. Under the terms of the agreement, which became effective on Oct 1st 2013, Petropol Polimeros will produce Akulon® polyamide 6 compounds, which DSM will market and sell to its customers throughout South America. Financial details were not released.
