DSM Launches New Halogen-free Flame Retardant Stanyl Products for Electronics Market

DSM Engineering MaterialsDSM has launched a series of new halogen-free flame retardant Stanyl compounds for the electronics market, namely, Stanyl® SC50 and Stanyl® MC50. Manufacturers of connectors, sockets and electronics components can now enjoy the traditional strengths of Stanyl products such as toughness and high flow with more reliable and trouble free processability. This new generation of materials incorporates technology to address issues associated with other High Temperature Polyamides. Products are being commercially sold and sample quantities are also available.

DSM increases capacity for innovative solar coatings

The additional capacity is expected to be on stream by the end of 2012 at the Chemelot site in Geleen, the Netherlands. The need for additional coating supply is a direct result of the fast growing market for solar energy.
