Clariant's Advanced Denim technology honored with prestigious innovation award
Muttenz, Switzerland/Singapore, October 22, 2012 - Clariant today announced that its Advanced Denim technology has been honored by two of the prestigious 2012 Innovation Awards organized by ICIS. ICIS Chemical Business magazine today revealed the winners of the 2012 edition of its awards. Not only was the Advanced Denim breakthrough eco-advanced dyeing technology recognized by the jury as "Innovation with Best Environmental Benefit", but it was also judged as this year's overall winner.

DSM and Stanyl help Dutch cycling team win World Human Powered Speed Challenge
The Human Power Team of Dutch cyclists won the 2012 World Human Powered Speed Challenge (from 10 September to 15 September) with the Velox 2. This lightweight, aerodynamic velomobile was developed in partnership with DSM whose extensive knowledge and expertise in materials, health, and nutrition was crucial to the team’s success. A vital component of the Velox 2 was the drive-train incorporating DSM’s Stanyl®, a high-performance polyamide 46 which helped give the Human Power Team the edge they needed to win.
