High-performance, low environmental impact Exolit® flame retardants from Clariant at JEC Composites Show
Muttenz, April 13, 2010 - Specialty chemicals expert Clariant is highlighting its Exolit® high-performance halogen-free flame retardants at Europe’s biggest composites exhibition, the JEC Composites Show in Paris on April 13-15, at stand S7. Exolit additives are suitable for use in composites based on various thermosetting resins as well as reinforced thermoplastic compounds.

DSM and Berliner Glas reach agreement on licensing terms for KhepriCoat™ anti-reflective coating system
DSM Functional Coatings B.V., part of Royal DSM N.V., and Berliner Glas KGaA, a leading European supplier of refined technical glass, announced today that they have agreed the terms of a licensing deal for DSM’s anti-reflective coating system, KhepriCoat™. Berliner Glas intends to use KhepriCoat™ to improve the performance of its glass in lighting cover applications. The new deal is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2010.

Rhodia and its partners create a polyamide recycling channel for end-of-life vehicles
Lyon, France – April 7, 2010 – Rhodia and its partners Renault, INDRA SAS / Re-source Industries, Steep and Mann+Hummel have made a commitment to create a polyamide recycling channel for end-of-life vehicles (ELVs). The partners have a common desire to work together to develop solutions that will contribute to reaching compliance with European regulatory requirements, which have set a minimum recycling and reuse rate of 95% for ELVs as of 2015.

BELDEN ANNOUNCES 10% PRICE INCREASE IN EMEA
Belden has announced that the company is to increase the prices of all its wire and cable products in the EMEA region by 10%. According to Roel Vestjens, General Manager of Belden Wire & Cable Systems EMEA, the increase, which will be effective as of 12 April 2010, is to offset escalating costs, particularly raw materials and energy.
