CHEMTURA EXPANDS EUROPEAN TECHNICAL SERVICE LABORATORY FOR GROWTH IN POLYURETHANES
Chemtura Corporation’s Performance Specialties business has completed a substantial expansion at its European regional Technical Service laboratory—an investment to support further growth of its range of Adiprene®/Vibrathane® polyurethane prepolymers. The newly refurbished and upgraded laboratory is located at Chemtura’s European manufacturing plant in Latina, Italy, where it produces Adiprene®, Vibrathane® & Ribbon Flow® TDI and MDI prepolymers, Adiprene® Low Free TDI prepolymers and Vibracure® curatives.

Efficast® Masks Offers Gold Standard in Patient Immobilization for Radiation Therapy

CHEMTURA TO INCREASE WESTON®, MARK®, AND NAUGARD® PHOSPHITE PRICES
Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of Weston®, Mark®, and Naugard® phosphite antioxidants and stabilizers by $0.40-$0.60/kg, effective for all deliveries on or after June 10, 2008, or as contracts allow. The price increase is necessary to recover the unprecedented increases in the costs of phosphorus-based chemicals.

SABIC Innovative Plastics’ Xtreme LNP* Starflam* Compounds Boost Short-term Heat Performance at Cost Advantage

These polyamide (PA)-based materials, can reduce system costs by up to 20 percent vs. thermosets via increased production yields and decreased molding cycle times. The new Xtreme LNP Starflam compounds, including halogen-free flame retardant (FR) grades, are ideal for demanding electrical applications such as contactors and circuit protection equipment.
