Distrupol appoints new development engineer for the South West
Steve Rutland has recently been appointed the new Development Engineer for Distrupol UK in the South West. “We are delighted to welcome Steve to our expanding technical team. His technical experience and material knowledge will be of great benefit to our customers, and may give them an advantage in terms of performance, processability and costs,” says Gerry Moore, managing director of Distrupol UK.

In a new agreement with Transmare Compounding B.V. from the Netherlands, Distrupol has become the sole distributor of the Transmare® polypropylene range of products in the UK, Spain and Portugal as of April 1.

STANYL® PA46 IN TUMBLE VALVES SUPPORT EFFICIENCY
Stanyl®, a high-performance polyamide 46 (PA46) resin from DSM Engineering Plastics, was chosen for the production of tumble valve bearings for the latest generation of the V6 and V8 engines of a high value german car producer. Tumble valves are an integral part of the manifold, optimizing the air flow in the combustion chamber. It is the first time that such tumble valves have been produced by assembly molding and Stanyl® played an important role in making this possible.

DSM Engineering Plastics enhances their wear resistant portfolio for Stanyl®
DSM today announced the launch of a new grade in Stanyl®. Stanyl, a high performance polyamide is used extensively for automotive applications where extreme wear resistance is required. The new grade named Stanyl TW272B6 is a special grade with very high stiffness and outstanding wear resistance suited ideally for taking very high loads during sliding and roller bearing applications.
