Leiden, The Netherlands - Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Products has added a new and versatile gloss white multi-purpose solvent inkjet film to its Avery Graphics portfolio – with a prime focus on making graphics application (and removal) quick, clean, and easy. Avery MPI 3601 Quick Mount is a prime candidate for short-life graphics where time is of the essence at the application point – for example, for bus, tram, and other public transport advertising where vehicles are only available for a very limited ‘window’ of time.

New business opportunities for Distrupol after successful Medtec UK 2008
The Medtec UK 2008 (13-14 February in Birmingham) has been a major success for polymer distributor and service provider Distrupol. This was Distrupol’s first time exhibiting at the event where it generated over 60 new sales leads, three of which have already resulted in tool trials of polymers supplied by the company. Distrupol believes the excellent response at the show was largely down to the availability of its own Development Engineers, and those of its material suppliers, to discuss product development opportunities and polymer solutions at the stand.

Distrupol PDM 08 exhibit to reflect all its polymer and engineering know-how
Recognising the UK’s role as a centre for the design and development of new products, Distrupol is tailoring its presence at PDM 08 (Telford, 15th-17th April 2008) to reflect all of the polymer distributor’s development and technical expertise. New Chemicals Industrial City planned for Abu Dhabi
The International Petroleum Investment Company (Abu Dhabi, U.A.E) and Borealis AG have signed a memorandum of understanding along with Abu Dhabi Investment Council to prepare jointly for the first phase of the development of a planned new Chemicals Industrial City to be located in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

Rohm and Haas Announces Partnership to Develop Advanced CMP Technology with IBM
March 17 2008—After entered into a joint development agreement with IBM to create patterning materials and processes to enable implant at and below the 32 nm node, Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, CMP Technologies, a leader and innovator in chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) technology for the global semiconductor industry, today announced that it has signed another joint development agreement (JDA) with IBM. The joint collaboration will focus on CMP process development for the integration of copper and low-k dielectrics at the 32 nm and 22 nm nodes.
