Coors Brewers Selects Nobilas Claims & Fleet Solutions as its Accident Management provider
Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, 8 March 2007 – Nobilas Claims and Fleet solutions, the Akzo Nobel company specialising in accident management, has been appointed by Coors Brewers Ltd, as the firm’s sole supplier of accident management services for their UK fleet.
Under the branded VELO Accident Management program, Nobilas and partner Leasedrive VELO, the largest independent vehicle management group in the UK, are managing Coors Brewers’ entire fleet of company cars.
Coors Brewers, whose brands include Carling, Grolsch, Worthington’s and Coors Fine Light, switched from its previous accident management provider to obtain the simplicity, efficiency and cost controls offered by the Nobilas and Leasedrive VELO program.

Advanced Technology Inside and Out: Hyundai ATDV Features Innovative Applications Utilizing GE Materials
GE Plastics’ high-performance composites and thermoplastics are taking the spotlight with close to 30 diverse applications for Hyundai’s advanced technology demonstration vehicle (ATDV), the QarmaQ. The crossover utility vehicle (CUV) is a joint project of GE Plastics and Hyundai to demonstrate the design freedom and practicality of using plastics in components traditionally manufactured from metal, glass, and thermosets. It features GE’s advanced technologies in five key areas: the Elastic Front*, exterior, interior, lighting systems, and underhood.

Hitachi Automotive Systems Europe, Ltd., has selected a reinforced Arnite® polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) blend from DSM Engineering Plastics for injection moulded mass airflow sensor body destined for Audi engines. Arnite TV4 261 30% glass reinforced grade PBT provides a combination of properties important to the application, including excellent flow, long term dimensional stability, stiffness and strength over a wide temperature range and chemical resistance. Production requires only moulding – no annealing is required to relieve internal stresses that could lead to warpage.
