NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR AT QUADRANT CMS

Peter van Damme, new Managing Director, Quadrant CMSTIELT, BELGIUM – June 13th, 2006 – Effective 1st June 2006, Peter van Damme (51) has assumed the role of Managing Director/CEO and becomes a Member of the Board of Directors at Quadrant CMS (Creative Moulding Systems), the Injection Moulding Division of the Quadrant Group. He succeeds Fernand Vandaele (61), who will remain as President of the Board of Directors at the company before retiring on 1 April 2007. Over the course of 35 years, Vandaele has held a number of senior management positions at the formerly family owned business ERTA, which was acquired by DSM in 1977 and has been part of Quadrant AG Holding since 2001. Over the next year Vandaele will focus largely on Quadrant CMS’s recently established subsidiary in Hungary. After his retirement in 2007 he will remain active as consultant.

As a result, proposed wire and cable products incorporating high-performance Flexible Noryl resins only need to undergo short-term aging testing vs. a 150-day long-term aging test, speeding time to market. The new GE materials have already proven themselves in the automotive and consumer electronics industries, and, with this new UL listing, are poised for rapid growth in appliance wiring applications.

Rotterdam, 9 juni 2006 - Op vrijdag 12 mei heeft DNV Certification BV het OHSAS 18001 certificaat overhandigd aan Scania Nederland BV. Voorafgaand aan deze overhandiging heeft DNV samen met vijf andere certificatie-instellingen, als eerste in Nederland, de OHSAS 18001 accreditatie van de Raad voor Accreditatie (RvA) ontvangen. Organisaties hebben met de invoering van recente wetgeving op het gebied van arbeidsomstandigheden een grote verantwoordelijkheid gekregen ten aanzien van de systematische zorg voor de kwaliteit van de werkomgeving. Helaas zijn veel bestaande veiligheidscertificaten niet veel meer dan een checklist. ‘Daarom heeft DNV samen met andere certificatie-instellingen en vertegenwoordigers van de overheid en het bedrijfsleven, het certificatiesysteem voor de OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001 norm ontwikkeld’, zegt Henk de Gooijer, sector verantwoordelijke Arbozorg & Veiligheid bij DNV. ‘Het certificatiesysteem bevat de interpretatie van de norm en eisen aangaande de organisatie en werkwijze voor certificering.
