NatureWorks LLC announces management change: Kathleen Bader retires, Dennis McGrew named new president and CEO
Dennis McGrew will become the new president and chief executive officer of NatureWorks LLC, a wholly owned business unit of Cargill, effective Jan. 20, 2006. NatureWorks is the first company to offer a family of commercially available polymers derived from 100 percent annually renewable resources. McGrew replaces Kathleen Bader, president, CEO and chairman of the business unit from 2004 to 2006, who has announced her retirement as part of a planned management transition.

Synventive customizes complex hot runner system for low pressure injection molded plastic pallet
‘s GRAVENDEEL, THE NETHERLANDS – January 20, 2006 – Synventive Molding Solutions, one of the world’s largest designers, manufacturers and suppliers of hot runner systems and related components to the injection-molding industry, developed customized hot runner systems for AVK Plastics to enable the production of large size plastics pallets on low-pressure injection molding equipment. Synventive will present this technology together with its range of hot runners systems with shot sizes down to 0.1 grams as well as a new range of hot runner systems for multi-cavity moulds at Plast 2006, in Milano, Italy in hall 9, booth A36 from 14-18 February.

DSM Dyneema Files Patent Lawsuit against Chinese Company
Urmond (NL), January 16 – DSM Dyneema, the inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber, has filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Hangzhou Pivot International Co. Ltd., of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, before the Court of Paris, France. Prior to the filing, DSM Dyneema obtained authorization to seize merchandise, including fiber, rope and finished articles, exhibited by Hangzhou Pivot at the Milipol 2005 exhibition on state security in Paris.
