New Borcell™ cellular compound concept meets the insulation challenge of radio frequency cables
The increasingly higher operating frequency of 3G mobile phone antenna cables places ever greater demands on the performance of insulation materials. To meet this challenge Borealis has launched a new combination of Borcell™ products that provides good insulation together with lower signal attenuation than has been possible with previous cellular materials.

GE’s ecomagination* Initiative and Lexan* ZigZag* Sheet Roofing Help the Dutch Greenhouse Industry Move Toward Energy Independence
BERGEN OP ZOOM, THE NETHERLANDS — November 15, 2005 — To support a strategic shift away from consuming large amounts of fossil fuel, the greenhouse industry in the Netherlands is turning to GE’s ecomagination* initiative for innovative environmental solutions. Using GE’s new Lexan* ZigZag* sheet polycarbonate (PC) roofing material, Hydro Huisman, a leading hydroculture company in Huissen, is constructing the first greenhouse that will produce more energy than it uses. Lexan ZigZag sheet double-wall roofing panels provide higher light transmission than single glass, and insulation similar to multiwall glass or PC sheet. These energy-efficient properties will enable approximately two-thirds of the heat generated in the greenhouse to be sold as surplus.
