Beveiliging, wireless en outsourcing belangrijkste factoren achter IT herstel
Bergen op Zoom, 31 maart 2004 – Beveiliging, draadloze telecommunicatie en outsourcing hebben het grootste groeipotentieel in the technologiemarkt in de komende 12 maanden. Dit blijkt uit een onderzoek van Eurocom Worldwide, in samenwerking met haar Nederlandse partner EMG. Het onderzoek is gedaan onder bijna 200 managers van IT-bedrijven in 16 landen waaronder Nederland.

Eastman Strengthens Global Copolyester Manufacturing Structure
KINGSPORT, Tenn., March 30, 2004 – Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) today announced further steps toward strengthening its global copolyester manufacturing capabilities. Following consultations with the union and the employees at its Hartlepool, England site, Eastman has decided to close that site and consolidate production to other facilities. Eastman said while it has ample capacity from multiple production lines at other sites to meet current customer needs, it is also preparing to meet future market growth by initiating plans to increase its copolyester manufacturing capacity at its headquarters site in Kingsport, Tenn.

Owens Corning lance un nouveau Mat à Filaments Continus hautes performances pour la construction navale
PARIS, le 30 mars 2004.— Réaffirmant son engagement à fournir des solutions de technologie Composites à l’industrie navale, Owens Corning présente le Mat à Filaments Continus OC® 8635, un nouveau non-tissé à base de fibres de verre destiné au moulage par infusion. Fabriqué en verre Advantex® d’ Owens Corning, il s’agit du seul mat à filaments continus spécifiquement mis au point pour ce procédé d’infusion. Il permet au transformateur d’augmenter la vitesse d’infusion jusqu’à 25% et de disposer d’un système de renforcement tout-verre qui répond au problème de l’utilisation des matériaux organiques pour les applications sous la ligne de flottaison.
