GREAT LAKES INCREASES PENTABROMODIPHENYL OXIDE FLAME RETARDANT PRICES
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced that effective for shipments after September 15, 2003, where contracts allow, the company will increase the price for pentabromodiphenyl oxide based flame retardants by 10% in the European region.

Owens Corning Focuses on Composites Growth in Veil Technologies
Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, 4 September, 2003 – Owens Corning announced today the opening of a €30 million manufacturing expansion to its composites Veil Technologies Facility in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
