Bayer, Honeywell and Whirlpool team up to deliver environmental, health and safety training
As part of the transition to Enovate™ 3000 blowing agent (HFC-245fa) at its Evansville, Ind. and Forth Smith, Ark. refrigerator plants, Whirlpool Corporation organized environmental, health and safety (“EHS”) training sessions for approximately 260 employees. Five sessions were conducted for company engineers, supervisors, foam technicians, operators, quality control and materials engineers and EHS staff.

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - Great Lakes Chemical Corporation today announced that Reolube® Turbofluid 46XC, a fire-resistant hydraulic fluid and lubricant for steam and gas turbines, has been used successfully in an industrial gas turbine for over 100,000 hours since commissioning without any significant change in condition.

Official inauguration and ISO certification of the Borouge petrochemical complex
On October 30, 2002, the USD 1.2 billion Borouge petrochemical complex in Ruwais in the United Arab Emirates was officially inaugurated. The day before Det Norske Veritas presented the ISO 9001:2000 certification to Borouge, who achieved the certificate in only nine months as one of the fastest companies.

The Screen, which was first seen as a prototype at the Milan Furniture Fair, consists of a number of panels made from Provista sheet, made from Provista copolymer produced by Eastman Specialty Plastics.

HUSKY OPENS NEW TECHNICAL CENTER
Bolton, Ontario, Canada — Husky Injection Molding Systems has added Mexico to the growing list of regions served by its worldwide network of Technical Centers. The newest facility, located in Mexico City, opened in September and is situated in close proximity to a number of key customers.
