Quadrant CMS employs plastics/metal hybrid technology to save weight and money in production of automotive airbag assemblies with integrated lead frames
Tielt, Belgium - April 28, 2016 - A hybrid plastics/metal airbag housing with integrated lead frame, co-developed and produced by Quadrant Creative Molding & Systems for an automotive steering wheel airbag assembly, is proving an important saver of weight, packing space and costs. Production is carried out fully automatically to provide high levels of quality and safety in the zero-defect environment of automotive passive safety. The assembly is being fitted on vehicles produced around the world.

Henkel launches integration program for refugees
Henkel is starting an extensive refugee’s integration program in its vocational training center. In collaboration with external partners and public authorities, the company is offering career guidance and job shadowing as well as internships, language courses and coachings for the refugees. The aim is to promote the integration of people with prospects of staying in Germany permanently.

GLENDALE, CA, EUA — 27 de abril de 2016 — A Avery Dennison (NYSE:AVY) anunciou hoje um acordo definitivo para adquirir a empresa europeia da Mactac junto à Platinum Equity, uma empresa de ações privada com base na Califórnia, pelo preço de compra de € 200 milhões, incluindo as dívidas assumidas. Com vendas de € 147 milhões em 2015, ou aproximadamente US$ 170 milhões, e cerca de 470 funcionários, a empresa é lider em materiais auto adesivos de alta qualidade , atendendo a vários segmentos de alto valor, incluindo gráficos, principalmente rótulos e fitas industriais. As linhas de produtos centrais da Mactac complementam o portfólio gráfico existente da Avery Dennison.
