Guardian Glass Services boosts its management team with the appointment of Luisa Delclaux and Javier Lorea
Bertrange, Luxembourg, March 30, 2016 – Luisa Delclaux has been named managing director of Guardian Glass Services®, the newly rebranded glass repair service division of Guardian Industries, a leading provider of glass high-quality products for commercial, residential, transportation and interior applications. Delclaux takes over from Marco Antonio Moreno, who has assumed new responsibilities in the group’s Automotive Division. The change of leadership is complemented by the appointment of Javier Lorea as director of sales for the division.

Samsung selects DSM’s Arnitel TPE for soft strap on latest smart watch
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, says producers of wearable electronics are turning to its Arnitel® thermoplastic elastomer for soft straps. A new high performance solution that it created specifically for the application has been adopted by several companies, including Samsung for its latest Galaxy Gear S2 smartwatch.

DSM announces Akulon and Novamid polyamide 6 price increase for Europe
As a result of increasing raw material prices DSM will increase the price for its Akulon® and Novamid® polyamide 6 polymers and compounds. DSM will increase prices in Europe by € 120/t for polyamide polymer, and by € 85/t for polyamide compounds. These increases will take effect for all orders shipped on or after April 1, 2016 where contracts allow.
