Clariant verlängert Sponsoring-Engagement beim Kammerorchester
Muttenz, 20. Oktober 2015 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, hat den seit 2013 laufenden Sponsoring-Vertrag mit dem Kammerorchester Basel um weitere dreieinhalb Jahre verlängert. Damit demonstriert der Konzern mit Sitz im Baselbiet nicht nur eine enge Verbundenheit zu dem hochklassigen Basler Klangkörper, sondern auch sein Engagement für die Region. Das Kammerorchester Basel wurde erst kürzlich mit seinem dritten Echo-Klassik-Preis in der Kategorie "Konzerteinspielung 19. Jahrhundert" ausgezeichnet.

Avery Dennison introduces bio-based PE film for label applications
OEGSTGEEST, the Netherlands — October 13, 2015 — Avery Dennison’s focus on sustainability was in the spotlight at Labelexpo Europe 2015 with the introduction of two bio-based polyethylene label films. These new products are the first self-adhesive PE filmic labels with a face stock that includes more than 80 percent renewable content and offer brand owners the opportunity to meet their target on renewable resources in packaging, while continuing to benefit from the functionality and performance of a regular polyethylene label.

Rapid launches Low Built Base granulators for sheet and film
Bredaryd, Sweden - October 13, 2015 - Size reduction equipment specialist Rapid has launched the LBB 300 series, a granulator with a very low height for handling sheet and film scrap. The new unit (LBB stands for Low Built Base) is intended principally for use in-line with a thermoforming unit, where its very low height allows it to be located directly under the output conveyor, saving valuable floor space.
