DSM's Akulon Ultraflow used by Steep for oil sumps of new Peugeot 508 engine
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, announces that light vehicles will be even lighter when they incorporate oil sumps injection molded in its Akulon® Ultraflow polyamide 6. The Peugeot 508 is the first vehicle to benefit from the new DSM solution, and more models will follow. PSA and its road-driving customers are benefitting from a product that not only weighs less than a metal version, but also costs less to make and helps to lower fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions during the lifetime of the vehicle.

Han Mertens winnaar Nationale Scheikundeolympiade 2013
Prijsuitreiking in het Limburgse Gouvernement
SITTARD, 13 juni 2013 - Han Mertens (16 jaar) uit Malden van het Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen is de winnaar van de 34e Nationale Scheikundeolympiade (NSO). Hij bleek de beste scholier van zo’n 4.000 deelnemers. Behalve Han Mertens vielen drie andere deelnemers in de prijzen: Ronen Brilleslijper (JSG. Maimonides, Amsterdam), Christian Böhmer (Tabor College Werenfridus, Hoorn) en Ymro Hoogendoorn (Penta college CSG. Scala, Spijkenisse). De Nationale Scheikundeolympiade is een jaarlijkse wedstrijd tussen getalenteerde havo- en vwo-scholieren uit heel Nederland met scheikunde in hun pakket. Doel is scheikunde op middelbare scholen op de kaart te zetten en talent te ondersteunen. De finale van de 34e olympiade vond plaats van 5 t/m 12 juni 2013. SABIC, wereldwijd vooraanstaand op het gebied van chemie, trad op als gastheer vanuit het Europese hoofdkantoor in Limburg.
