（2008年5月28日，上海）—— 5月20日下午，复旦大学生命科学学院－Thermo Fisher奖学金颁奖典礼，暨赛默飞世尔科技2008年暑期实习项目校园宣讲会在复旦大学光华楼隆重举行。经过院系推荐，学校严格评审，共计有6名本科生和7名研究生喜获该项奖学金。复旦大学副校长，兼生命科学学院院长金力博士、赛默飞世尔科技中国区总裁Syed Jafry（蒋文康先生）、赛默飞世尔科技中国区人力资源总监计凌云女士、赛默飞世尔科技全球企业营销高级经理Chris Woodward先生及Mary Meegan女士等共同出席了此次活动。

Moog Donates to the Victims of May 12th Sichuan Earthquake

(Shanghai, China, May 15, 2008) –Moog China will donate to the Red Cross Society of China to help provide the immediate disaster relief for victims of the May 12th earthquake in Sichuan Province, China. In addition, Moog China employees are personally making contributions as well in order to help more victims in the disaster area.

SABIC Innovative Plastics wint 2007 National ENERGY GLOBE Award voor het Brine Recovery Project te Bergen op Zoom

BERGEN OP ZOOM, The Netherlands – 27 mei 2008 – SABIC Innovative Plastics is uitgeroepen tot winnaar van de ENERGY GLOBE Award voor Nederland als erkenning van het Brine Recovery Project zoals toegepast in de fabriek te Bergen op Zoom. Gisteren, in het EU Parlement in Brussel, ontving het bedrijf erkenning voor het bereiken van belangrijke milieuvoordelen, die mogelijk gemaakt worden door een innovatief proces voor de terugwinning van zout. Het proces zuivert het zout gebruikt in de fabricage van polycarbonaat kunststoffen en maakt dit geschikt voor hergebruik. Dit duurzame proces reduceert het gebruik van keukenzout, de hoeveelheid afvalwater en de uitstoot van kooldioxide (CO2). Het project werd ondersteund door het Life Environment programma van de Europese Commissie met een subsidie van 1,2 miljoen euro. De investering in ecologische oplossingen stelt SABIC Innovative Plastics in staat om afnemers state-of-the-art producten te leveren en de milieueffecten van fabricageprocessen te minimaliseren.

Borealis increases polyethylene and polypropylene prices
