European Court of Justice ruling may open up further cross-border mail opportunities for Spring Global Mail
Amsterdam, 22 November 2007 – On 15 November 2007, the European Court of Justice issued a ruling about the interpretation of the EU regulation that allows Posts to keep international mail under their monopoly. If this ruling is taken over by the Spanish Supreme Court, this will open up further opportunities for Spring Global Mail and other postal service providers in cross border mail services throughout Europe.

EERSTE VLCC VOORZIEN VAN AFMEERKABELS MET ULTRASTERKE DYNEEMA® VEZEL
URMOND (NL), 22 november 2007 - DSM Dyneema, uitvinder en fabrikant van ultrasterke, lichtgewicht Dyneema® polyethyleenvezel, heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat COSCO Dalian, een dochteronderneming van China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, voor zijn nieuwste Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), de Cospearl Lake, kiest voor afmeerkabels gemaakt met Dyneema® vezel. Na een geslaagde, acht maanden durende proef op zee op de Cosmerry Lake concludeerde COSCO Dalian dat kabels met Dyneema® kortere aanmeertijden mogelijk maken dan afmeerkabels van staaldraad, en dat ze veel veiliger zijn voor de bemanning. DSM Dyneema heeft tijdens de proef nauw samengewerkt met COSCO Dalian voor het vastleggen van de prestaties van de nieuwe kabels.

Hanwha Acquires AZDEL, Inc. from SABIC Innovative Plastics, PPG Industries
FOREST, Virginia – November 20, 2007 – Hanwha Living & Creative (L&C) Corporation announced today that it has finalized the acquisition of AZDEL Inc., a 50/50 joint venture of SABIC Innovative Plastics (formerly GE Plastics) and PPG Industries. The acquisition of AZDEL will allow Hanwha to expand its offering of composite and advanced material solutions for the transportation and industrial segments. Terms were not disclosed.

Nepol drives innovative truck developments
Borealis, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, has played a pioneering role in the development of the first-ever injection moulded truck bumper and front panel. The structural components for IVECO’s latest Stralis truck were developed using Nepol™ GB303HP, a long glass fibre-reinforced polypropylene (PP) solution from Borealis. Nepol replaces unsaturated polyester glass fibre used in other techniques reducing production complexity while meeting the high mechanical and environmental-friendly requirements specified by IVECO.
