Belden Presents New Lumberg Automation Robotic Product Program
Schalksmühle, Germany – January 23, 2013 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, has launched a new Robotic product program for the Lumberg Automation range in the EMEA region. The Lumflex STL 500 is a UL-certified, four-pole control cable with a torsional strength of +/- 720° per meter. It is also fire-retardant, resistant to lubricants, acids, alkalis and UV radiation, and capable of withstanding welding sparks. The operating temperature range is -45°C to +80°C. This control cable is available on drums of 100 or 500 m and with molded IP67-rated M8 and M12 connectors (straight or angled, with or without wiring). The versions with molded connectors at one end are available in lengths of 2, 5, 10, 15 and 20 m. Those with molded connectors at both ends can be obtained in combinations of M8/M8 and M12/M12 and with standard lengths of 0.3, 0.6, 1, 1.5, 2 and 5 m. Thanks to hundreds of different standard molded connector versions, individual lengths of cable, and a broad range of field-attachable connectors, the Robotic product program has the ideal solution for almost any automation application that requires reliable wiring of industrial robots or electrical/electronic modules. Customer-specific versions can also be supplied.

Belden Presents the OCTOPUS Train-BP, a New Hirschmann Brand Managed IP67 Switch
Neckartenzlingen, Germany – January 22, 2013 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, has launched in the EMEA region the OCTOPUS Train-BP, a new managed IP67 switch in its Hirschmann product range. This switch, which is available with 8, 16 or 24 Fast Ethernet ports (10/100 BASE TX), has been especially developed for use in trains. It fulfills all the specific EMC and fire prevention requirements for rail vehicles and also has numerous redundancy mechanisms plus two uplink ports with bypass relays. This means that connections between neighboring switches are maintained even when an OCTOPUS fails.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, Paesi Bassi, 16 gennaio 2013 - Segnando un nuovo traguardo nel suo illustre rapporto con Renault S.A., per la quale sviluppa parafanghi termoplastici ormai da 25 anni, l'unità operativa Innovative Plastics di SABIC ha oggi annunciato che la casa automobilistica francese ha adottato con successo una nuova qualità di resina NORYL GTX™, contenente materiale riciclato post-industriale (PIR), a fronte del suo continuo impegno volto a ottenere la conformità con i requisiti dell'Unione europea in merito allo smaltimento dei rifiuti derivanti dalla rottamazione dei veicoli (ELV). L'azienda ha adottato il nuovo materiale di SABIC per i parafanghi della sua Clio IV 2013 ed estenderà l'utilizzo della resina al veicolo elettrico ZOE, che verrà presto immesso sul mercato. Il materiale PIR soddisfa gli standard qualitativi e prestazionali ed è in grado di migliorare ulteriormente i vantaggi in termini di sostenibilità della resina NORYL GTX per i parafanghi delle automobili, che comprendono la riduzione del peso e quella delle emissioni di gas serra fino al 47 percento nel corso dell'intero ciclo di vita del parafango rispetto all'acciaio. Il successo di Renault con questa nuova resina PIR NORYL GTX dimostra il continuo impegno di SABIC nel migliorare le proprie tecnologie dei materiali per far sì che i clienti possano raggiungere i loro obiettivi ambientali ed adeguarsi alle mutevoli normative in materia.
