Gigabit Ethernet via M12 Ports
The new Gigabit OCTOPUS from Belden’s Hirschmann™ product range is a managed IP54 switch that was especially developed for road and rail vehicle applications that require fast data connection. To this end the switch has two Gigabit Ethernet uplinks for twisted-pair cables (1000 BASE-TX) connected via vibration-proof M12 ports. Eight Fast Ethernet ports (10/100 BASE-TX) are provided for connecting terminal equipment. These are also designed for M12 connectors and support PoE. They make it possible to power equipment such as IP cameras, Voice-over-IP phones or WLAN Access Points without the need for additional cables. The switch also offers various management and security functions plus fast redundancy protocols. It can thus be used to install high-availability Gigabit backbones in public transport vehicles, for instance giving passengers fast internet access during their journey.

DSM Engineering Plastics invests for growth in Specialty Polyamides
DSM is to make further investments in its Kaohsiung polymerization facility in Taiwan to upgrade and develop the company’s Specialty Polyamide capabilities for its Novamid® and Akulon® Polyamide engineering plastic business. The Kaohsiung site has been a part of DSM since 2010 and already produces specialty Polyamide 6 and 6/66 materials for its Novamid product line.

Si tratta di una tavola di simulazione che offre una maggiore capacità rispetto ai sistemi ortogonali tradizionali, che consistono in una tavola mossa da attuatori montati alla base e sui lati. La tavola di simulazione idraulica Moog è un esapode a sei gambe con due piattaforme a triangolo equilatero sovrapposte e disassate di 30 gradi. Ogni vertice del triangolo superiore è collegato ai due vertici sottostanti grazie agli attuatori idraulici per prove Moog con cuscinetti idrostatici.

DSM DYNEEMA SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVES PATENT INFRINGEMENT DISPUTE IN THE UK
The Netherlands, January 31, 2012 - DSM Dyneema has announced that it has successfully concluded its patent infringement dispute with Miclin Ltd. and J&D Wilkie Ltd. (Kirriemuir/UK), trading under the Jack Ellis brand. The case, which was brought before the Patents Court of the High Court in London, resulted in a settlement, details of which were not made public.
