SABIC si unisce a INPRO, joint venture improntata all'innovazione nel settore automobilistico
BERLINO, Germania – 7 settembre 2011 – Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) ha annunciato oggi a Berlino di aver concordato l'acquisto di un pacchetto azionario di INPRO, una joint venture che si dedica all'innovazione collaborativa per la produzione automobilistica. SABIC si unirà a Daimler, Siemens, ThyssenKrupp e Volkswagen, i titolari dei pacchetti azionari del gruppo. Anche lo stato federale di Berlino detiene delle azioni di INPRO sin dalla sua fondazione, avvenuta nel 1983. SABIC si unisce alla joint venture forte di 45 anni di esperienza come principale pioniere nei settori dello sviluppo applicativo e delle tecnologie per i materiali plastici legati all'ingegneria automobilistica, principalmente attraverso la divisione automobilistica dedicata di Innovative Plastics, e parteciperà attivamente ai progetti di innovazione congiunta di INPRO. L'ingresso di SABIC nella joint venture INPRO rispecchia il suo impegno attivo e decennale nel settore, volto a incentivare l'innovazione dei materiali leggeri a livello internazionale e ad aiutare i clienti OEM ad affrontare alcune delle loro sfide più impegnative.

Am Belden-Standort Neckartenzlingen starten zwölf Jugendliche ins Berufsleben bei Hirschmann
Anfang September 2011 haben gleich zwölf Jugendliche am Belden-Standort Neckartenzlingen, wo die Produkte der Marke Hirschmann™ entwickelt und produziert werden, eine Berufsausbildung begonnen. Neun von ihnen werden in den Lehrberufen Elektroniker für Geräte und Systeme, Mechatroniker, Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration und Verfahrensmechaniker ausgebildet. Drei junge Leute absolvieren an der Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart die Studiengänge Angewandte Informatik und Betriebswirtschaftslehre.

Clariant enables Oslo Airport to recycle two-thirds of aircraft de-icer
Muttenz, 13 September 2011 – A new Clariant recycling plant for aircraft de-icer is being inaugurated today at Norway’s Oslo International Airport. In the coming 2011-12 winter, it is expected that the unit will reprocess 60-70% of the aircraft de-icer fluid (ADF) used in Oslo. The recycled product – mono propylene glycol (MPG) – will substitute an estimated 700 metric tonnes per year of virgin material in de-icing and heat transfer applications.
