Clariant adjusts full-year guidance
Muttenz, 05 September 2011 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, adjusted its guidance for the full-year 2011 due to unfavorable foreign exchange rate developments and a softening of the global economy in the current business year. The mid-term EBITDA margin target for 2015 was confirmed.

Zweibrücken, Germany (August 31, 2011) – Clariant Masterbatches is a major producer of masterbatches, with a strong reputation in safety and process excellence. Grinding equipment from leading producer Pallmann provides important assistance in this task. Pallmann mills are different from the competition: they can easily and efficiently handle all the main polymers by Clariant Masterbatches without the need for special cooling with liquid nitrogen. This decrease substantially boosts efficiency, without negatively affecting the quality for the application needed.

Guaranteeing a reliable power supply over four decades
Since 1971, well over a hundred million of Hirschmann™’s ST-series connectors have been produced. Still retaining practically the same original design, these connectors are used to provide power for electric awnings, blinds and shutters. The maximum rated voltage is AC 400 V/DC 250 V, with a rated current of up to AC 16 A/DC 10 A. Because the connectors are reliable, easy to install and have a long operational life they have become the standard for a wide range of applications including mechanical engineering, lighting technology and the medical sectors. This is why the ST-series remains an important part of the connector program and will continue to be further developed if necessary.
