MOOG TO PRESENT TWO TECHNICAL PAPERS ON WIND TURBINE BLADE LOAD MEASUREMENT AND PITCH SYSTEM MODELS AT EWEA 2011
East Aurora, New York, USA, 14 March 2011 – Engineers from Moog are scheduled to present two papers at Poster Sessions on Wednesday March 16 at 16.00 and 17.30 at EWEA, Europe’s premier wind energy event that takes place this year in Brussels. Topics are “A pitch system model for more realistic load simulations of wind turbines,” and “How to increase turbine payback with blade load measurement.” Moog, a leader in providing blade pitch control, slip ring and rotor monitoring solutions for the wind energy industry has been a frequent presenter at previous global wind events.

Muttenz, 9 March 2011 – Manufacturers of medical devices and packaging who choose newer plastic materials like Eastman Tritan™ co-polyester and TOPAS® cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) now have readily available color options that are pretested and compliant with key standards governing materials used in medical and pharmaceutical applications. Available under the new Clariant Masterbatches brand name MEVOPUR®, these color concentrates and pre-color compounds are produced under specially controlled conditions in ISO13485 certified plants, using raw materials that have been biologically evaluated against USP parts 87 and 88 (Class VI devices) and/or the international standard ISO10993, and spectroscopically analyzed on delivery.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, Paesi Bassi – 7 marzo 2011 – SABIC Innovative Plastics ha annunciato oggi che Leedarson Lighting, costruttore leader end-to-end di prodotti per l’illuminazione con etichetta depositata e fornitore di soluzioni a risparmio energetico, ha scelto il composto a conduzione termica LNP* Konduit* in una nuova formulazione di colore bianco per costruire i dissipatori di calore per due delle sue lampadine retrofit a diodo a emissione luminosa (LED). Leedarson, che ha sede a Xiamen, in Cina, utilizza il nuovo composto LNP Konduit in sostituzione dell’alluminio presente in tali dissipatori di calore allo scopo di raggiungere alcuni obiettivi fondamentali: colore bianco elegante e stabile al calore che non necessiti di una verniciatura secondaria, maggiore produttività grazie all’uso dello stampaggio a iniezione e conformità ai requisiti settoriali relativi all’isolamento elettrico.
