Songwon annuncia un aumento di prezzi globale per la sua gamma di additivi per materie plastiche
Ulsan, Corea – 21 gennaio 2011 – Songwon Industrial, leader globale nello sviluppo e nella produzione di additivi per polimeri, aumenterà globalmente i suoi prezzi per gli antiossidanti Songnox®, gli stabilizzanti UV Songlight® e Songsorb®, gli antiacidi Songstab™ e per la sua gamma di antiossidanti amminici, tra l’8 e il 15%, a valere dagli ordini ricevuti a partire o successivamente al 1 marzo 2011, fatti salvi gli accordi contrattuali. Questo incremento di prezzi è necessario per compensare gli aumenti dei costi delle materie prime e per garantire la continuità degli investimenti nell’affidabilità delle forniture.

Clariant leads way in REACH Phase One and Phase Two legislation
Muttenz, January 21, 2011 - Lead REACH registrant Clariant is now focusing on Phase Two of REACH legislation following its successful completion of the registration of 152 substances required under Phase One by the December 1, 2010 deadline. Phase Two, which concerns more than 300 chemicals, should be completed by June 1, 2013.

SABIC si allea con MAUSER per sviluppare HDPE granulare ad alte prestazioni e costi vantaggiosi, per container industriali
Sittard, Olanda – 19 gennaio 2011 – SABIC, leader globale nelle materie plastiche ha annunciato oggi la disponibilità commerciale del suo materiale ad alte prestazioni SABIC® HDPE ICP 5602 per container industriali. L’innovativo polietilene ad alta densità (HDPE) – sviluppato in collaborazione con MAUSER, uno dei più importanti produttori di packaging industriale – è studiato per il blow-moulding di fusti a testa stretta con capacità da 25 a 220 litri. La resina SABIC® HDPE ICP 5602 unisce elevata resistenza all’urto e rigidità ad un’eccellente prestazione di stampaggio, resistenza alla fessurazione sotto sforzo ed a prodotti chimici. Ancora più significativo è il fatto che il materiale fornisce una migliore fluidità del fuso, per una maggiore produttività e minore utilizzo di energia; inoltre, la sua forma granulare – abbandonando le tradizionali forme in polvere – evita gli sprechi, aumenta l’efficienza dei macchinari e permette una manipolazione più sicura del prodotto.

Quick-connection technology enables use of M12 cord sets
Belden has extended its range of Lumberg Automation™ products to include new Profibus DP connectors. These connectors each have a D-Sub and M12 interface, and are offered with 35°, 90° or 180° cable outlets. All versions support data rates of up to 12 Mbit/s and feature a compact die-cast zinc housing with test socket and activatable terminating resistor. They also boast quick-connection technology that enables Profibus DP devices to be connected with M12 Profibus cord sets simply and securely without the use of tools. The advantage of this, for example, is reduced downtimes of machinery and equipment when faults occur, increasing production efficiency.

A range of solutions for connecting terminals equipped with a serial interface to Ethernet networks
Belden has extended its Hirschmann™ product range to include four IOLAN DS series converters from Perle Systems, which allow terminals equipped with a serial interface to be connected to Ethernet networks. All of the models have software-selectable RS 232/422/485 interfaces as well as an Ethernet port – or two Ethernet ports in the case of the rack variant. In addition, they support various protocols for serial data transmission, including Modbus TCP Gateway, Raw Serial Data over UTP, IPv4 and IPv6. The Perle Device Manager makes configuring the devices easy. The housings are made of metal, and have fanless cooling. What is more, all models meet safety (IEC 60950-1) and EMC standards (EN 61000). As the four converters have a different number of serial interfaces as well as different bandwidths, security functions, protection standards, temperature ranges, and special approvals, it is easy for customers to find the ideal solution for their application – whether it is in a factory, in process and building automation or in the energy sector.
