SABIC Innovative Plastics annuncia l’acquisto della linea di prodotti RheMax della RheTech Inc.
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Paesi Bassi – 17 aprile 2009 – Nel costante tentativo di riaffermare e rafforzare ulteriormente il proprio impegno nel lungo termine all’interno dell’industria automobilistica nordamericana, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha annunciato oggi di aver siglato un accordo per l’acquisto della linea di prodotti RheMax della RheTech Inc. di Whitmore Lake, nel Michigan. Secondo l’accordo, RheTech dovrà operare in conto terzi per la produzione delle resine LGFPP (polipropilene rinforzato con fibre di vetro lunghe) STAMAX* di SABIC Innovative Plastics, lanciate sul mercato nordamericano a settembre 2008. L’acquisto consentirà a SABIC Innovative Plastics di soddisfare direttamente a livello locale le richieste dei produttori OEM dell’industria automobilistica nordamericana.

DSM Engineering Plastics ha annunciato che la PA 6 Akulon è stata scelta da vari costruttori e produttori di componentistica automotive per diverse applicazioni e per studi di fattibilità riguardanti le coppe olio ed i carter motore. Vari test sono già in corso, sia al banco che su strada. La validazione definitiva della PA 6 Akulon nelle coppe olio e nei carter motore è prevista per la fine del 2009.

With EAGLE20, Hirschmann Automation and Control, a Belden company based in Neckartenzlingen, Germany, has introduced the fourth generation of its industrial networking firewall. Like other Hirschmann products, EAGLE20 is based on the proven VxWorks real-time operating system. The new industrial firewall meets all requirements for operating as a security router, including Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) Firewall, Packet Filter Rules and a VPN Server.

NO CRISIS AT UTECH EUROPE 2009
Maastricht, the Netherlands - Despite the economic uncertainty, the 10th UTECH Europe event, held in Maastricht, from March 31 to April 2, was rated a success, with attendance far exceeding the expectations of all exhibitors. Most of the more than 140 exhibitors made the same point at the end of the event: visitor levels had been well above their predictions, and the quality of those attending was high. In fact, more than 2836 industry professionals from 86 different countries attended the show, including the almost 400 registered delegates for the conference running parallel with the exhibition. The total figure mentioned does not include the more than 1500 passes distributed to exhibitors.
