Distrupol adds customized on-site polymer training to its service offering
Polymer distributor Distrupol has added customized on-site polymer training to its service portfolio, putting its motto of ‘Knowledge that Delivers’ further into practice. One of the first companies to make use of this new offering was the Hi-Technology Group, from Waterlooville, Hampshire, UK. As a customer of Distrupol they invited them to provide an “Introduction to Plastic Materials and Processes” to a select group of Hi-Technology customers at the end of March 2007 as part of their training programme.

Steve Lampen tours Europe and Middle East
In the coming month, Steve Lampen, author of The Audio-Video Cable Installer's Pocket Guide (published by McGraw-Hill), and columnist for Radio World Magazine, is set to tour Europe and the Middle East for a series of lectures in 10 countries. During this tour he will visit Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, UK, Spain, France, Poland, the Netherlands and United Arab Emerates.

GE Plastics Expands Manufacturing Capability for EMI Shielding Materials into the Pacific Region
BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAESI BASSI - 24 aprile 2007 - GE Plastics ha annunciato oggi l'incremento delle proprie potenzialità produttive nella regione del Pacifico con l'introduzione dei composti LNP* Faradex* per la schermatura delle interferenze elettromagnetiche. Tali composti, tra cui un nuovo prodotto eco-compatibile autoestinguente privo di sostanze brominate e clorinate, verranno prodotti nello stabilimento GE Plastics di Moka, Giappone. I materiali LNP Faradex di GE permetteranno ai produttori locali e gobali di soddisfare i requisiti normativi per la compatibilità elettromagnetica (EMC) con un prodotto che offre un'efficace soluzione di schermatura delle interferenze ed è in grado di ridurre il peso dei componenti e i costi finali di sistema. Inoltre, l'utilizzo di un materiale LNP Faradex autoestinguente privo di sostanze brominate e clorinate permette di limitare l'uso di sostanze nocive nell'industria elettronica.
