CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON BROMINATED FLAME RETARDANTS

ChemturaMIDDLEBURY, CT – Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) today announced price increases of $0.30/kg on BA-59P (tetrabromobisphenol-a) and up to 15% on its brominated carbonate oligomer and FF680 (bromo-phenoxy ethane), products, effective July 1st 2006. These increases continue the restoration of Chemtura’s Flame Retardants business to reinvestment economics and to capture the full value of elemental bromine. This reinvestment is essential to ensure a reliable supply chain; to fund research into future technology; and to support on-going product advocacy programs.
