Husky and Cold Jet form exclusive partnership to offer mold cleaning systems
BOLTON, Ontario – Husky Injection Molding Systems, the world’s leading solutions provider for PET preform molds and equipment, has signed an exclusive agreement to offer its customers Cold Jet’s line of dry ice blast cleaning systems, the companies announced today. The agreement expands the range of products and services Husky offers to help customers maximize the performance of their preform systems.

Interplas teams up for K and Euromold exhibitions

Il catalizzatore Ambicat™ MB60 della Borealis ha aperto nuove, interessanti strade nella produzione di tubazioni in pressione in PEX, reticolato con silani, per acqua calda e fredda per usi domestici. Usando per le tipiche tubazioni riscaldanti e igienico-sanitarie il nuovo catalizzatore, in combinazione con il nuovo materiale di base della Borealis, il BorPEX™ ME2510, la reticolazione con silani può essere ottenuta a temperatura ambiente entro pochi giorni. Questo rappresenta un significativo risparmio di costi e di tempo in confronto al normale (HD)-PEX ad alta densità con un catalizzatore tradizionale, dove la reticolazione non può essere ottenuta a temperatura ambiente in tempi ragionevoli.

Borealis announces 2nd quarter operating profit of EUR 49 million
Borealis today announced its second quarter results, reporting an operating profit of EUR 49 million. This is a significant improvement compared to the same period last year but EUR 7 million lower than the first quarter of 2004, as a result of higher feedstock prices. The second quarter operating results benefited from strong demand for polyolefins with higher sales volume compared to both the preceding quarter and the same period last year.
