Official inauguration and ISO certification of the Borouge petrochemical complex
On October 30, 2002, the USD 1.2 billion Borouge petrochemical complex in Ruwais in the United Arab Emirates was officially inaugurated. The day before Det Norske Veritas presented the ISO 9001:2000 certification to Borouge, who achieved the certificate in only nine months as one of the fastest companies.

Tom Dixon in partnership with Eastman: Introducing “the Screen” made with Provista sheet from Eastman Specialty Plastics
World renowned product and furniture designer Tom Dixon has introduced “the Screen”, a multi-functional divider for use in offices and workspaces. The Screen, which was first seen as a prototype at the Milan Furniture Fair, consists of a number of panels made from Provista sheet, made from Provista copolymer produced by Eastman Specialty Plastics.

Il sistema TRACS (Transport, Recovery and Air Cleaning System) della Rapid Granulator AB ha permesso di migliorare sensibilmente la qualità dell’ambiente di lavoro nel reparto stampaggio della società svedese Plastal AB di Goteborg, grazie all’eliminazione pressoché totale della polvere prodotta dalle operazioni di granulazione. Il sistema TRACS è collegato direttamente ai granulatori Rapid dedicati al riciclaggio degli scarti di produzione.
