Since September 2019, MegaChem has been the exclusive distributor of SONGWON’s antioxidants for fuels and lubricants in the ASEAN region. On the back of the success in these countries, SONGWON has extended MegaChem’s coverage to include Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Realme, a leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has selected SABIC’s new LNP™ ELCRES™ EXL7414 copolymer resin for the battery enclosure of its C25 phone to achieve UL 94 V0 FR compliance at 0.6mm, addressing the new IEC standard.The implementation of the International Electrotechnical Commission’s new IEC 62368-1 safety standard for consumer electronics is prompting many manufacturers to seek higher-performing flame-retardant (FR) materials. Realme, a leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has selected SABIC’s new LNP™ ELCRES™ EXL7414 copolymer resin for the battery enclosure of its C25 phone to achieve UL 94 V0 FR compliance at 0.6mm, addressing the new IEC standard. Additionally, the superior flame retardance of the new LNP copolymer resin supports its potential use in ultra-thin-wall components to help save device weight and space in ever-thinner designs. SABIC’s LNP ELCRES EXL7414 copolymer resin also delivers excellent flow for thin-wall molding; ductility to resist damage from drops; and good chemical resistance to withstand ultraviolet (UV)-cured painting. The new Realme smartphone launched in March 2021.

New UL yellow card certified solution added to DOMO’s portfolio for home appliances. A new UL yellow card has recently been awarded to DOMO Chemicals for DOMAMID® FR 6GT2010V0E, one of its proven solutions developed for the company Mabix S.r.l. and used in production of home appliances. The PA6 based DOMAMID® 6GT2010V0E is a self-extinguishing halogen and phosphorus free material, filled with 20% mixed glass and mineral.

Project Air receives EUR 30 million from the Swedish Energy Agency

Project Air receives EUR 30 million from the Swedish Energy Agency. 
(Photo: Perstorp)Swedish Project AIR is an industrial concept to produce methanol from a large variety of recovered end-of-life streams and hydrogen from electrolysis. The project is carried out by the chemical group Perstorp in cooperation with Uniper and Fortum, and the aim is to reduce carbon emissions by up to half million tons annually. Project Air has now been allocated approximately EUR 30 million by the Swedish Energy Agency.
