New SiVance® C2010 Resin for Epoxy-Silicone Formulations Ups Durability of Protective Coatings in Harsh Conditions
Ghent, Belgium – SiVance, LLC, a subsidiary of Milliken & Company, today introduced SiVance® C2010 resin, a new reactive silicone technology designed to create highly durable epoxy-silicone hybrid coating formulations. Specifically, this unique, high-performance material helps extend the flexibility and impact resistance of protective coatings used in harsh operating environments such as undersea drilling, hydraulic fracturing and chemical manufacturing. Compared to coatings made with competitive products, hybrid formulations featuring SiVance C2010 resin enable formulators to help their customers avoid the cracking, delamination and blistering that lead to corrosion and failure of metal pipes, tanks and equipment.

DSM and NHU inaugurate joint venture to produce high performance PPS compounds
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, and specialty chemicals producer Zhejiang NHU Special Materials Co., Ltd. (NHU), have officially inaugurated their joint venture company for polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) compounds, DSM NHU Engineering Plastics (Zhejiang) Co Ltd., on August 22nd. The JV, which was announced May 2015, has been established in Zhejiang province, close to NHU’s linear PPS polymer plant in Shangyu, for manufacturing of the high performance compounds.

OEGSTGEEST, Pays-Bas — le 18 août 2016 — Avery Dennison Labels & Packaging Materials Europe a développé un adhésif améliorant la sécurité des produits pharmaceutiques en laissant une preuve visible sur le packaging secondaire en cas de falsification. Le nouvel adhésif émulsion acrylique S788P présente une cohésion interne deux fois plus importante que pour les adhésifs communs du marché, ce qui garantit un arrachage éfficace des fibres de la boîte en carton si une étiquette pharmaceutique est retirée. Le S788P aidera les fabricants de produits pharmaceutiques à répondre aux exigences européennes de la directive 2011/62/UE sur les médicaments falsifiés.
