AVERY DENNISON ADDS 16 NEW COLORS TO 700 HIGH PERFORMANCE CALENDERED FILM SERIES
(Mentor, Ohio) February 21, 2014 – Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions today announced the addition of 16 high gloss colors to the 700 High Performance Calendered Film Series. The enhanced portfolio, featuring high gloss, gloss, semi-gloss and matte finishes in 75 colors, is the first product portfolio to be showcased in the new Avery Dennison® Everywhere You Look™ campaign, which will run throughout 2014.

Clariant continues on profitable growth path in 2013
“Clariant has made good progress in 2013. The unfolding operational strength of the company became visible in a challenging economic environment. After the divestment of several businesses, Clariant is now a more profitable, less cyclical and well-balanced specialty chemicals player,” said CEO Hariolf Kottmann. “2014 will be a year of organic growth in the four Business Areas. This will bring us closer to our mid-term target to position Clariant in the top-tier of the specialty chemicals industry, characterized by an EBITDA margin before exceptionals between 16% and 19% in 2015 and beyond.”

Latinoamérica – 12 de febrero de 2014 – Avery Dennison, líder mundial en materiales para etiquetas y empaque, cerró el 2013 con un balance muy positivo en cuanto a acciones sustentables: se produjo un aumento significativo en la reducción de residuos enviados a rellenos en toda la región, en América del Sur en 2013 el porcentaje de residuos enviados para su reciclaje o generación de energía fue superior al 70 %, en comparación con 60% en 2012. Clariant supports the ocular medicine packaging with launch of new global and compliant standard color range of masterbatches for caps and closures at Pharmapack Europe 2014 Paris
Muttenz, February 12, 2014 – Clariant, one of the world leaders in specialty chemicals, In the Healthcare sector, coloration of plastics plays an important role in protecting patients by identifying drug types or doses, thereby reducing the risk of errors. However, these plastic packaging materials and the colorants in them need assessment of how they behave in contact with the drug during storage and use. These extractable and leachable studies on the packaging material, play an important role in medium and high risk applications such as ocular medicines, but if something changes in the polymers or masterbatches used to manufacture the packaging, then the data from the extractable and leachable studies may no longer be valid. To address these issues Clariant has used in dedicated expertise to create a new range of standard masterbatch colors, offering the benefits of the MEVOPUR® brand, tailored to the color standard developed by the American Society of Ophthalmology.
