Laboratoire expérimental d'INPRO : Technologies d'assemblage de caisse en blanc et d'application de groupe motopropulseur>BERLIN, Allemagne – 7 septembre 2011 – Aujourd'hui, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) a annoncé à Berlin son accord pour prendre une participation dans INPRO, une joint venture (JV) destinée à l'innovation collaborative dans la production automobile. SABIC deviendra ainsi actionnaire du groupe aux côtés de Daimler, Siemens, ThyssenKrupp et Volkswagen. L'état fédéral de Berlin détient également des actions dans INPRO depuis sa création, en 1983. SABIC intègre la JV avec 45 années d'expérience à son actif et une position prédominante dans le secteur du développement d'applications et de technologies de matériaux plastiques utilisés en ingénierie automobile. Le succès de SABIC repose principalement sur sa division automobile au sein de la branche Innovative Plastics, qui contribuera largement aux projets d'innovation de la joint venture INPRO. Le souhait de SABIC de rejoindre la JV INPRO reflète l'engagement proactif qu'elle s'est fixée il y a plusieurs dizaines d'années dans ce secteur, pour faire progresser à l'échelle mondiale l'innovation des matériaux à faible densité, et pour aider les clients OEM à relever certains de leurs plus importants défis.

(Foto Belden, PR211)Anfang September 2011 haben gleich zwölf Jugendliche am Belden-Standort Neckartenzlingen, wo die Produkte der Marke Hirschmann™ entwickelt und produziert werden, eine Berufsausbildung begonnen. Neun von ihnen werden in den Lehrberufen Elektroniker für Geräte und Systeme, Mechatroniker, Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration und Verfahrensmechaniker ausgebildet. Drei junge Leute absolvieren an der Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart die Studiengänge Angewandte Informatik und Betriebswirtschaftslehre.

Clariant enables Oslo Airport to recycle two-thirds of aircraft de-icer

© “Courtesy of Vestergaard”Muttenz, 13 September 2011 – A new Clariant recycling plant for aircraft de-icer is being inaugurated today at Norway’s Oslo International Airport. In the coming 2011-12 winter, it is expected that the unit will reprocess 60-70% of the aircraft de-icer fluid (ADF) used in Oslo. The recycled product – mono propylene glycol (MPG) – will substitute an estimated 700 metric tonnes per year of virgin material in de-icing and heat transfer applications.

This is the result of the consolidation of Songnox® 1076 production into Songwon’s new fully backward integrated Maeam plant. In addition Songwon has announced as a consequence of this expansion the introduction of two enhanced physical forms of Songnox® 1076: Songnox® 1076 SB (semi beads) and Songnox® 1076 CP (crystalline powder).
