SARLINK ANNOUNCES NEW DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP IN MEXICO
Rochester Hills MI, 4 March 2010 – Sarlink TPV has announced that a new distribution partnership between Entec Resins S.A. de C.V. and Sarlink is official since January 1, 2010. Sarlink has found a new business relationship in Entec, which will supply Sarlink’s products to the plastics and rubber industry in Mexico. Entec will be Sarlink’s sole distribution partner for all Sarlink grades from now on. In this way, Sarlink is able to provide better service and the best possible supply solutions for its customers throughout Mexico. This distribution partnership is a significant step to support and drive Sarlink’s position in the growing market of thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV).

La feuille résistante en Lexan de SABIC Innovative Plastics remporte le concours du meilleur projet d’innovation d’EPSE pour la réalisation des murs du stade Aviva de Dublin
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Pays-Bas – 2 mars 2010 – les fans de rugby et de foot au nouveau stade Aviva de Dublin risquent de montrer plus de curiosité à l'égard de la structure du stade que pour les résultats des matchs. Les murs curvilinéaires et transparents du stade sont constitués de feuille en polycarbonate (PC) Lexan* Exell D résistante et pratiquement incassable de SABIC Innovative Plastics, ce qui, en plus d’une très grande élégance, leur confère une haute performance et un caractère écologique. En reconnaissance de la contribution stratégique de la technologie de la feuille Lexan dans la construction du stade, European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders (EPSE) a décerné à SABIC Innovative Plastics son prix 2009 du meilleur projet d’innovation. SABIC Innovative Plastics se voit ainsi remettre un prix EPSE pour la seconde fois. En 2008, en effet, cette société a remporté un prix de la catégorie des meilleures innovations pour la station de métro Carmes à Toulouse en France, dont le toit est constitué de feuille Lexan Exell D. COPERATION BETWEEN BOZZIO, DSM, BERN UNIVERSITY AND DYNAMIC TEST CENTER BRINGS SAFER MOBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
The joysteer® X-by-wire system with precision gears made of Stanyl® PA 46 resin from DSM Engineering Plastics is now in commercial production for the handicapped market and available from car modification companies in Switzerland, Germany and the Benelux. This rapid development from prototype to successful commercialisation was achieved by the Swiss company Bozzio within record time of just three years. In this period, Bozzio obtained the strictest level of safety approvals for the European market (TÜV approval according to ECE-R 13H braking system and ECE-R 79 steering system), making joysteer®x-by-wire commercially available to provide people with a disability a user-friendly solution to drive a car with safety and confidence. This is the first system with such a high safety level.
