BERGEN OP ZOOM, Pays-Bas – 28 octobre 2009 – Aujourd’hui, SABIC Innovative Plastics a annoncé le lancement d’une nouvelle technologie de copolymère: les résines copolymères spécialisées Lexan* HFD, une innovation matérielle qui offre aux clients une fluidité élevé sans les baisses de rigidité traditionnellement associées et une ductilité améliorée sans impact sur la viscosité. Ces matériaux reposent sur une transparence inégalée, une rigidité extrême et de hautes performances qui font la réputation de la résine polycarbonate (PC) Lexan. Ce nouveau matériau permet d’envisager de vastes options de conception, surtout dans les domaines d’application clés où les pièces à parois minces, les géométries complexes et les produits à fort impact pouvant résister à de très basses températures sans compromettre la transparence sont exigés.

DSM wins Innovation in Environment Award for lightweight air-cargo container panels
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, today announces that it is awarded the international AVK award in Innovations and Environment for a new, light weight version of air-cargo containers. The containers help airlines to cut carbon emissions by 28,000 ton a year, the equivalent of taking more than 8500 cars off the road.

Le Centre de formation de Bio Base Europe bien parti pour une ouverture en 2011
Gent, 27 octobre 2009 – L’état d’avancement du chantier du nouveau Centre de formation axé sur les biotechnologies de Bio Base Europe, une initiative conjointe de Biopark Terneuzen et de Ghent Bio-Energy Valley, permet de prévoir sa mise en service début 2011. Lancé en avril 2009 dans le but de soutenir et d’accélérer le développement de la bio économie en Europe, le projet Bio Base Europe sera le premier de ce genre à inclure à la fois un centre de formation et une installation pilote consacrés aux bio industries. Il s’agit du plus grand projet Interreg lancé à ce jour dans la région transfrontalière néerlando flamande qui devrait ainsi devenir le principal centre de bio économie en Europe.

DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE ARNITE PET XL GRADE FOR NEW XENON AFX MODULE IN DAIMLER S-CLASS
DSM has developed a new Arnite Low Outgassing PET XL Grade to specifically meet the needs of Adaptive Forward (AFX) Modules.
